Peripera Makeup Magazine Advertisement.
Makeup is art. Makeup is a form of self-expression. When you promote these two ideas together, you may end up with an advertisement that visually appeals to the pathos of the audience. On the left, you get an easel and a mirror in the shape of a paint board with the words, “face here.” That text is mean to be in a bit faded as the main selling point is the lip product. Your eyes scan from left to right, giving a closer look as to what “face here” means. When you look through the mirror, you get the visuals, specifically giving point to the lips. The overall left page acts as a palette with two colors, representing the lip products, as paint, and the image—a painting. As a Korean makeup brand, the target audience appreciates cute visuals. I decided to do minimalistic yet cute drawings to compliment the images. The poses are meant to be photographed like you are looking into the mirror admiring how confident you feel with the lip product on. It is an overall playful ad meant to drool you towards buying the product.
